Welcome to my site. I hope you find it informative
and interesting!
It is time once again for the Shubenacadie Band
Elections to be held on September 14, 2004 at the Indian Brook Community Hall. I have accepted a nomination for council and
have decided to use the world wide web as an avenue to reach all eligible voters under the Shubenacadie Band Membership.
To view my campaign letter just click onto the link "campaign letter'.
I hope that my web page will help you to become familiar
with me and the views I have on certain issues. I also hope it will enable you to make an informed decision
on election day. I also encourage voters to look at other web pages or literature made available by other candidates. In
doing so, informed decisions can be made which are in the best interests of the community.
Each member, 18 years of age or older, is entitled
to vote. As a result of the Corbiere Decision, off-reserve band members are now eligible to vote in band elections.
One chief and twelve councilors will be elected on September 14, 2004.
If you are a Shubenacadie band member living on-reserve
or off-reserve, you may want to make sure that you are on the list to vote or want to ensure that your mail-in ballots are
received by the Electoral Officer on time. If you would like more information please contact:
